The deliverable to your company is a scorecard utilizing industry performance metrics to highlight which business practices, within the SCOR model, need performance improvements. Xperia utilizes a time-tested, five-phase development methodology on our project engagements. Most importantly, we have scaled our methodology to competitively serve the small-to medium-sized business (SMB) market space. Each of the phases described below has defined tasks and deliverables to ensure a successful repeatable process for the timely completion of your project. Proven Methodologies Phase 1 - Requirements Definition Utilizing joint application development (JAD) techniques, this phase consists of rapidly gathering business process and data requirements, interface definitions, and functional specifications that accurately reflect your business needs. Applying business process analysis (BPA), we work closely with your team/staff to identify business processes which are mapped to system functionality and used to conduct milestone reviews throughout this Phase. The results are finalized into a requirements document and presented for approval. Based on these requirements, Xperia will proceed with the Solution Analysis and Design Phase of the project. Phase 2 - Solution Analysis and Design This phase consists of analyzing and designing the specific technical components of a solution that satisfy your requirements. During this phase, we develop data models and a user interface prototype, leveraging object-oriented design to finalize the system architecture. Plans are outlined for data conversion, testing and acceptance criteria, training, system capacity, and backup and recovery. Upon your review and acceptance of the design, Xperia will proceed with the Development and Testing Phase. Phase 3 - Development and Testing As components are designed and approved, program development begins. Milestones are defined and measured for progress throughout the development effort. Testing and quality assurance reviews of each component are performed to ensure minimal errors and maximum reliability. Specific production-level hardware, software, and networking components are selected, procured, and installed during this phase. Upon completion and testing, Xperia will proceed with the Implementation Phase. Phase 4 - Implementation This phase consists of moving and setting up the system components in the data center. This includes performing any required data conversion, conducting a "live" test to demonstrate the completed functional application and/or website, and gaining acceptance to establish a "go live" production date.
